Sales Director - Pacific Northwest

at Flexjet by Bombardier (Anywhere)

Description:
Responsible for sales of Flexjet Fractional Aircraft Ownership programs, Jet Card programs and Charter Brokerage programs in assigned region to generate revenue and meet sales objectives in alignment with Flexjet’s strategic business plan. Coordinate with other departments and Bombardier business partners to promote sales of Bombardier business aircraft programs.

Essential Functions:
1.Adhere to General Work Requirements.
2.Meet or exceed forecasted sales numbers by managing Sales for the assigned region
3.Research customer needs and develop application of products and services including:
a.Determine market strategies and goals for each product and service
b.Research and develop lists of potential customers
c.Determine customer needs and provide information from market research
d.Evaluate product and service marketability in terms of customers travel needs
e.Follow up on and develop sales leads
f.Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets
g.Establish and maintain industry contacts that lead to sales
h.Coordinate with marketing and sales support staff to establish communication path with the customer to ensure sales opportunities for products and services
4.Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales including:
a.Develop sales and marketing proposals for customers on products and services
b.Maintain SalesForce.com data files on prospective clients
c.Develop educational presentations and workshops
d.Maintain up-to-date awareness of activities, industry trends and government regulations
e.Attend tradeshows, sales calls and networking events to raise awareness of Flexjet and promote products within region
f.Make regular sales calls to develop relationships and follow up on leads
g.Act to close deals and finalize contracts to meet established sales targets and revenue goals
5.Participate in sales forecasting and planning including:
a.Research, develop, and maintain long and short range sales and marketing plans
b.Produce regular reports and final plans for approval
c.Maintain current knowledge of strategic plans and procedures to coordinate market plans
d.Monitor, analyze and communicate sales data, via contact management software, to contribute to product/service planning
6.Develop metrics to measure effectiveness of marketing efforts and sales activities to ensure alignment with sales targets
7.Collaborate with Sales Support, Contracts, and Sales Management to grow market share and fulfill owner expectations
8.Maintain expense reports and T&E budget
9.Perform other duties as assigned.

•Broad financial acumen and strong negotiation skills.
•Highly proficient in business writing skills necessary to create various reports and correspondence
•Planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize, assign, and coordinate workload of assigned area within a multiple project setting
•Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with potential and existing customers, sales force, and senior management

Functional Skills

•Presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and/or facilitate discussions with all levels of management, customers, and potential customers
•Financial analysis skills necessary to develop proposals, cost comparisons and Return on Investments (ROI)
•Training skills necessary to provide instruction and education to employees in assigned area
•Negotiation skills necessary to secure, for example, price, delivery schedule, and performance metrics with customers
•Contract interpretation skills necessary to read and interpret purchase agreements
•Computer skills necessary to learn and/or operate word processing, spreadsheet, database, email, and web-based applications

Minimum Qualifications

•Bachelors degree and/or 6 plus years in field sales, sales support or executive experience

Additional Desired Qualifications

•Experience in aerospace field sales and managing large territories and diverse product offerings
•Some experience with high value or luxury goods/services
•Pilots license or significant experience with a general aviation manufacturer
•Bachelors degree or higher
•Working knowledge of FAA and Federal Aviation Regulations

Physical Requirements

•Physical demands with activity or condition existing a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (i.e., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
•Physical demands may include walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping
•May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling up to 25lbs
