Responsibilities:
Customer strategy and execution to support growth expectations including:
• Building and maintaining executive level relationships at customer and Cisco.
• Strong business acumen and comprehensive understanding of the data center, cloud marketplace, and collaboration.
• Strong expertise working with a partner eco-system.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to liase between customer leadership, Cisco sales leadership and Cisco Business Units.
Experience Required:
• 10 years proven technology sales and sales leadership success.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain extensive customer relationships.
• Demonstrated clear team leadership in collaboration with cross-functional organizations such as Professional Services (CA), Channels and Strategic Alliances.
• Extensive background and understanding of product, service, and channels sales as well as service delivery at Cisco or comparable experience from another company.
• Experience building actionable long and short term account plans based on a deep understanding of the impacts of business and technology trends.
• Understanding a broad range of customer technologies required.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to persuade using simple communications that convey complex concepts in a compelling, concise, and creative way.
This position generally requires the following skills: Relationship management skills Strong comm/preso skills Working knowledge of product solutions Has developed expertise in own sales area Demonstrates competence in using a variety of selling techniques. Excellent negotiation skills.
Requires BS degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5-7 years successful experience managing a sales territory in a growing business environment, including in prospecting, replacing an incumbent/competitor, and protecting the installed base is essential. Must have extensive experience with selling to Executive Level personnel . Must be aggressive self-starter with ability to build executive relationships, articulate Cisco's product and business strategies, and create demand and close deals. Data networking, border and unified communication technical knowledge strongly preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of working with complex technical accounts including calls on key decision makers (VP and above) and all other technical and business influencers required. The ability to negotiate solutions to issues with peers, partners and customers using a Win/Win philosophy required. Must have keen ability to position "end to end" solutions and articulate primary vendor strategies to senior customer executives is essential. Demonstrated knowledge of a process for running a sales territory, including forecasting, quota attainment, sales presentations, short term, mid term, long term opportunity management. Must have experience obtaining a quota and must be able to travel.
