POSITION CAN BE LOCATED IN VARIOUS CITIES THROUGHOUT THE US.

The Sales Business Development Manager is responsible for driving Cisco Network Management business across the US and Canada, with focus on achieving sales within AT&T, Verizon and Qwest/CenturyLink service providers.
The position is in the Solution Acceleration overlay team and involves deep cooperation with the direct account teams and the executives (OD/RSM/AM/CSE/SE) that own the responsibility for the account.
The position will be paired with a sales engineer and the team will be responsible for nominated carrier accounts and a development region.

The position requires knowledge of large scale, network management systems and OSS environments, with Managed Services and Cloud Computing environment has a plus.
At least 5 years of experience of relevant selling to service providers is needed.
Excellent customer relationship and communications skills are required.

Overall Purpose: The Sales Manager will be responsible for determining account plans and driving the sales process, in addition the ability to penetrate new accounts is highly desirable. The ability to identify and progress business opportunities for Cisco NMTG is key.
This will include the working of conventional RFI/RFP processes, but also the ability to create interest and generate new projects. Sales Management responsibilities will include managing all aspects of the commercial relationship with customers/prospects, including: presenting Cisco's value proposition, creating traction within an account, ownership of formal responses, account planning development of sales strategies (with the Account Management Team) and plan the introduction of senior Cisco staff where required. The ability to leverage techniques from one account to others will be required to maximize the penetration across a large geographic market.

Responsibilities:
- Developing and plan business strategies to meet Cisco SP's sales objectives and increase business opportunities
- Own a sales funnel and accurately forecast on sales to meet the quarterly and yearly revenue objectives
- Represent Cisco to the customers and partners (internal and external) in driving revenue opportunities creating a professional impression during all external engagements
- Generate opportunities for meetings with the key decision making personnel in the service provider to drive the sales process forward
- Determine and implement sales tactics to drive the sales process forward with key accounts
- Provide leadership and networking knowledge to the customers and maintain an appropriate presence in the network industry

Other: Preparedness for traveling throughout the US and Canada.
