Sales Representative - Michigan
at Gordon Food Service (Anywhere)
Description:
Present the “first impression” and continually delivering the Gordon Food Service story and image to all of our customers
Travel throughout the assigned route, providing coverage for all Customer Development Specialists (CDS) as appropriate
Gain understanding of broker relationships to assist in key customer assignments
Help facilitate the delivery of marketing materials
Assist and participate in customer events and market segment shows
Deliver products to customers as needed
Assist with the demonstration of products and discussion of applications
Gain expertise in the area of sales consultation to ensure sales process development
Verify orders with customers, including receiving information and credits if needed
Observe the management of accounts receivable process
Participate with the Customer Development Specialist in business reviews, negotiations, understanding and use of market research
Serve existing accounts as assigned by the CDS
Gain and understand the structure of the company
Demonstrate ability to be a strategic thinker, innovative planner, and how you use creativity to build relationships, network, and link resources
Enthusiastic about meeting the diverse needs of our valued customers
High school diploma or GED equivalent - required
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or Marketing – preferred
Must maintain a valid state Driver’s License and safe driving record
One year previous sales, business, or foodservice experience, or the equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience
Strong interest in the foodservice, food business practices, and food preparation are a must to be successful in this role
Comprehensive communication skills
Self-driven, working effectively within a team or on your own
Exceed sales goal achievement and performance measurements
Must be able to travel extensively throughout the region
