Are you a strong Sales Person with experience and expertise in Mapping, GIS, and Location-Based Services? If so, then the Bing Maps Incubation Sales Team is the right place for you!
This is a high profile role, where success will be visible to Bing Maps and Incubation Senior Leadership. To succeed the candidate will be required to collaborate with peers, demonstrate great passion in front of customers and have an ability to accept big challenges. The candidate should be a self- starter, a person likely to create their own business plan rather than wait for the plan to be created.
You will be responsible for identifying, driving and closing complex strategic sales opportunities for Microsoft's Bing Maps Platform, which will drive traditional license sales, consumer sales and strategic partnerships. You will work with Microsoft field sales teams to engage with our Enterprise customers. You will also work with key partners (ISV's and SI’s) on sales planning and joint execution, perform skills transfer for partners' sales forces and provide input and feedback from field and partners to the marketing and product development process. Effective sales pipeline development and management experience required.
The ideal candidate will also have a proven record of growing new businesses, building strong relationships and an understanding of developing business development relationships, where the revenue is not the single driver. A strong knowledge of Enterprise IT solutions, Internet services, consumer mapping, plus related technologies and competitors in the cloud computing space is required. Ability to effectively present to a wide range and size of audiences from IT technician to CIO level is a must. This position requires a subject matter expertise for technology solution sales and issues surrounding GIS (mapping, location-based services) and integration of other Microsoft and competitor technologies. The preferred location for this position will be in or around the Minneapolis, Minnesota area, or within the North Central District. Travel is estimated at 30%.
Requirements
• Solution Selling Experience: Proven success with enterprise customers, working knowledge of solution-selling strategies and tactics and business value selling
• A minimum of 7-10 year's experience in Enterprise software sales, enterprise consulting or an equivalent
• Demonstrated experience and success engaging with senior executives in a sales process and working with leading consulting, systems integrator and major computer vendors
• Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, verbal and written communication, analytical and presentation skills are required
• Candidate must possess exceptional demonstrated decision-making, conflict resolution, and problem solving and negotiation skills
• Strong understanding of GIS technologies, business drivers and emerging trends as well as the impact of these on partners and customers.
• BS/BA degree.
