Our client is a major national media company that delivers news bulletins and specific data to millions of Americans daily through a range of media outlets—in print, on the radio, as well as through the Internet, handheld mobile devices, and IPTV. This position is focused exclusively on our client’s digital and new media products. Our client customizes and provides highly accurate and localized sets of information to an impressive range of organizations in both the private and public sectors, as well as through hundreds of thousands of reputable third-party websites.
The Role:
The Senior Account Executive will generate business for our client by selling ad space on the client’s website. An ideal candidate for this position is highly driven, creative, proactive, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and possesses a competitive edge. Specific responsibilities include:
• Cultivation of ongoing close contact with clients, brand managers, and marketing supervisors, to establish and maintain positive business relationships through all phases of sales
• Collaboration with media operations to ensure adherence to delivery goals
• Proposal preparation through the RFP process
• Management of sales database, regularly organizing and updating with relevant information
• Active following-up on sales opportunities initiated by cold calling
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree, plus formal sales training
• 7+ years online ad sales experience
• Must be able to provide tangible benchmarks of previous successful achievements in related fields
• Excellent communication skills, particularly in creating and maintaining customer relationships over the long-term
• The ability and willingness to travel as needed
• Experience with both solution and consulting-based sales, as well as business-to-business sales
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include a 401(k) plan, as well as a selection of medical, optical, and dental care plans.
