Description:
Our client is a leading provider of software for IT professionals, and provides a unique collaborative IT management application that is able to help hundreds of thousands of small businesses simplify their needs via crowdsourcing.

The Role:

The Ad Sales Representative is responsible for investigating and initiating contact with potential advertisers in order to pique their interest in purchasing the company’s online advertising, lead-gen, and email marketing campaigns. An ideal candidate for this position is highly motivated and organized, possesses a strong work ethic, and is both passionate and knowledgeable about online media breakthroughs. Specific responsibilities include:
•Formulate and deliver sales presentations to new and existing clients in order to safeguard and increase existing advertising, as well as sell new ad services.
•Explain efficacy of specific types of advertising to customers, and which of these approaches will most successfully promote their produces or services
•Manage allotted account bases, i.e. maintain all correspondence, while developing new accounts
•Seek and reach out to potential customers
•Provide customers with pricing estimates for marketing and advertising services, as well as draw up contracts and collect payments for ad sale work
•Present samples of ad artwork to clients to inform them of the options available
•Actively attend industry trade shows and training seminars in order to enhance knowledge, promote products, and gain new contacts
•Establish promotional plans via collaboration with ad agencies, company executives, and sales departments
•Thoroughly research each client (their products, business practices, needs, problems, media history) in order to develop effective sales presentations and offerings
•Manage all elements of the bid process, including gathering relevant material in preparation as well as coordinating bidding and contract approval

Requirements:

•2+ years experience in ad sales, specifically internet-based products such as new media and Web 2.0 products
•Proficiency in developing and closing deals with a range of variables
•Experience negotiating high-level deals and with strategic planning highly valued
•Strong analytical and communication skills
•Proven experience thriving in the fast-paced environment characterizing a startup
•Bachelors degree

Compensation:
Commensurate with experience.


Compensation:
$151,000-$175,000
