Division: Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)

The Microsoft OEM organization is responsible for worldwide sales, marketing, and licensing of preinstalled software on mobile phones, embedded consumer and commercial devices, PCs, and servers produced by large multinational account (MNA) OEMs, local manufacturers, system builders, and the distribution channels that support them.

Group: OEM Engineering Services (OES)

The OEM Engineering team is looking for a seasoned technical leader with outstanding partner engagement and technical evangelism experience to lead technical sales, consulting and services engagement for one of our top OEM partners. The role will require frequent engagement with senior level Microsoft and OEM partner technical and business decision makers to drive roadmap alignment, deployment of new Microsoft technologies and device commercialization support. Typical level of exposure at the partner will be at General Manager, CTO and above levels so poise, confidence and excellent communication and presentation skills is required. The role will span a breadth of technologies and will serve as both a senior manager and v-team lead spanning all relevant OEM products from Microsoft including Client, Core Preloads, Mobility, Embedded and Server. Good business savvy coupled with high technical acumen and experience across Microsoft products is a must as this role will help to drive the design-ins that produce significant revenue for the company and drive user perceptions and satisfaction across tens of millions of devices.

Core accountabilities for the role include:
Drive technical roadmap alignment and design ins with a major global OEM partner Build trusted advisor status producing excellent Customer and Partner Experience (CPE) across senior members of the partner's technical and product teams
Work with our account team to identify new business opportunities to grow the business
Assist the partner with technical excellence, quality and innovation to make Microsoft technology on their devices shine
Grow and lead a team of partner technology managers, consultants and technical account managers to achieve your account goals
Identify and win in core compete initiatives to help drive Microsoft's share in critical device and software categories
Serve as a senior leader on the MNA Engineering and overall partner account team

A successful candidate will bring the following to the table:
10+ years of PC, Mobile, and/or Server-related product development or technical evangelism experience
5+ years managing technical teams
Extensive partner engagement experience including responsibility for partner CPE and technology adoption
Excellent presentation and persuasion skills with a proven track record working with senior technical and business leaders
Knowledge of the OEM ecosystem and partner engagement model
Proven track record of successful technical v-team management focused on delivering solutions to partners
A knowledge of multiple Microsoft products across our Client, Pre-load SW and developer platform technologies
Management experience in Microsoft's services model is a strong positive
BS/MS in Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering or related fields (or equivalent career experiences)

This role will be based in Redmond, WA with direct reports globally. The role will require approximately 20% travel.
