Partner Marketing Director -728770

Microsoft Worldwide Public Sector is looking for a high-capacity professional to define and drive our partner marketing strategy and execution. This role is pivotal in formulating and communicating the PS opportunity to our worldwide partner audience. It is instrumental in helping us reach our FY11 revenue goals and scorecard commitments, as well as laying the foundation for continued strong performance in FY12. The partner marketing director is responsible for driving partner revenue, share and satisfaction through programmatic offerings. This individual is responsible for ensuring that partners are able to leverage enablement resources, sales promotions, marketing content and activities to drive partner selling efforts, as well as support partner pipeline health and velocity. This includes working with the Worldwide Partner Group, BG (IW, WinClient, STB, and MBS), Segment and the A13 field teams to:
Establish the strategy, goals and objectives for our partner audience as it relates to PS initiatives.
Lead marketing efforts both directly and through the existing marketing teams to generate partner awareness and drive best practices into the marketplace as measured by partner satisfaction.
Shift perceptions by communicating MS' initiatives to improve PS opportunity and engagement.

Areas of Responsibility:
Design, develop and execute PS partner marketing plans, which support strategic business objectives and the broader public sector industry marketing plans.
Design and execute campaigns tailored for PS partners, segments and the worldwide field. Operate across multiple teams to achieve results through a range of engines.
Monitor demand generation activity across vehicles to ensure they meeting goals, expectations and ROI.
Manage budget allocation and track spend across teams, working with individual vehicle owners to remove obstacles to their success.
Develop strategies for improving results, and re-direct team efforts as necessary.

Specific Activities:
Engage Partners via WPG/SMSP Engines: design and execute campaigns tailored for PS partners, segments and the worldwide field. Operate across multiple teams to achieve results through a range of engines including the following:
o Ready & Rally Partners
§ Disti Partner Boot Camps
§ Partner JumpStart Program
§ Gear Up Sales Toolkit
o Engaging Partners
§ Shoot Tool
§ Top VAR Program
§ Regional Industry Partner Executive Summits
o Marketing Thru Partners
§ WWPS Guide to Partner Marketing
§ Microsoft Partner Network Portal
Microsoft Partner Communities: scale the PS businesses via Microsoft's field partner communities including the following:
o Channel Development Manager community - owns thru partner marketing strategy, large subs have dedicated PS CDMs - Australia, UK, Germany, France
o Disti PAM community - owns the disti relationship strategy; PAMs work with the CDMs (channel development manager) to execute Disti Bootcamps and have marketing commitments on their job descriptions.
o VAR PAM community - owns the VAR relationship and strategy - ensure that PS partners will be included in the Top VAR program, as well as manages the partner list.
o TPAM community - owns the Top VAR Program - ensure that key PS focused partners (>100K annual revenue) will be covered by the TPAM
Worldwide Partner Conference: own and drive WWPS' presence at the WPC; key responsibilities include defining the overall strategy to support the PS business goals, driving strong connections and collaboration across the industry and sub teams, managing the relationship between the WPG team, the PS field and partner communities.

Job Requirements:

Strong integrated marketing communications and management skills including agency management, research, analysis, strategy and execution.
Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills.
Outstanding interpersonal skills are also required. You need to be decisive, action-oriented, and be able to deliver consistent results.
Ability to manage across groups and work in a matrix organization.
At least 10 years of senior-level marketing experience in product or audience marketing and/or public relations - including campaign and budget management - preferably in a fast-paced environment.
BA/BS degree is required. MBA preferred.
