Director, World Class Selling
Purpose:
Primary objectives are to drive the WCS-P framework across all partner facing roles to create and drive results through individual partner sales role accountability and to lead the Partner Account Manager Discipline for SMSG.
This leader will be responsible for driving individual role owners to align to the WCS-P framework and will be responsible for the all-up ownership for PAM roles in MS. Additionally, this role will require someone with a strong ability to act as a coach and guide for subsidiaries looking to improve their partner account manager quality.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for PAM taxonomy and discipline ownership across all PAM roles
Lead WCS-P program across all partner roles
Business owner for PAM curriculum and for PAM tools (Partner Planning, Managed Partner List, etc.)
Tightly connected to Partner Sales Excellence Lead for alignment to future partner sales models
Act as a field coach, driving personal investment in role development and a strong focus on leader development in partner sales
20-30% travel required
Manage vendors and suppliers for training and delivery services
Create a culture of individual accountability and performance across all partner roles
Recommended Qualifications:
Four year college degree in business/marketing or scientific discipline, or equivalent experience.
10+years of related channel sales management experience in sales background with experience coaching and leading others to high performance
Prefer experience with Microsoft's products and channel programs
Ability to develop quantitative business metrics tools both as a reviewer and an IC developer
Track record of strategic thinking with partner specific engagement and execution.
