Microsoft’s Enterprise and Partner Group (EPG) is tasked with ensuring that our enterprise customers realize the most value from their investments with Microsoft. We are made up of over 7000 sellers and managers spread across over 80 subsidiaries. EPG’s Sales Excellence team enables the field with World Class Sales Operations. This includes the landing of effective processes and tools that enable sellers reach their potential.
EPG’s Business Information & Systems team is responsible for designing and deploying solutions that empower EPG to effectively execute and measure its operations. This involves a deep understanding of the business processes and underlying information to ensure appropriate, high quality and effective solutions are built and adopted and become key enablers to growth and productivity within the field. We are looking for a full-time Senior Program Manager in our team to connect with the key stakeholders (field, process owners, business architects, role owners and corporate leadership) to build and manage an information and systems roadmap that delivers solutions to support our critical business customers.
The BM Sr. Program Manager will build a Business Management tools portfolio that drives adoption of our core business insight platforms (EBMS, Integrated Reporting, Executive Dashboard, etc.). This includes Field interaction to help drive simplification, standardization and adoption of corporate reporting solutions and to help evolve our corporate tools to enable the field. The role will work closely with our corporate Sales Operations teams to our solutions roadmap to business capability needs across segments. Additionally, the BM Sr. PM will manage the delivery of our core Forecasting and Pipeline reporting solutions, in partnership with MSIT and other suppliers, to support our sales and business management processes.
Core job responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
Partner with various corporate and field stakeholders to define experience, platform, information & tools needed to support business priorities
Design solution and information management strategies to meet business process needs
Land annual and in-flight strategy changes across the subsidiaries as required through dedicated enablement events and ad hoc consulting engagements
Lead the design and delivery of Business Intelligence and Operational solutions for the EPG Business Management processes
Drive field adoption & provide support around existing solutions
Work closely with Sales Operations groups across the Enterprise to drive alignment of approaches and tools and drive down the overall cost of ownership for BI and Business Management solutions
Play an ambassadorial role for assigned subsidiary sales excellence leads by championing subsidiary initiatives and needs in World Wide EPG Head Quarter.
Develop partnerships with business owners to ensure overall project success (technical, capability/functionality, deployment and adoption)
Analyze, define and refine business requirements and create functional specifications
Provide estimates for scope, schedule and resources, assess risk and identify key assumptions
Manage technical development resources
Develop comprehensive test plans to ensure objective quality measurement and engage stakeholders in User Acceptance Testing for ultimate buy-in
Drive training, process integration, and adoption of reporting solutions to ensure value realization
Identifying areas for continuous improvement in execution and field productivity.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess as many of the following skills/ experiences as possible:
Excellent cross-group collaboration skills and the ability to influence stakeholders
Strong Business Intelligence knowledge and delivery experience
Strong Sales Operations and Business Management knowledge (e.g. Pipeline management, Sales Forecasting, Performance Management, Revenue Attainment, etc.)
Ability to act as a liaison between business stakeholders and development teams to ensure successful technical fulfillment of business requirements
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Experience identifying, refining and implementing business requirements and writing functional specifications
Understanding of the Microsoft Business Intelligence technology stack (SQL Server, SharePoint/Performance Point, etc.) is desired
Understanding of Information Management concepts and practices is desired
Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years experience supporting Enterprise Sales Operations (including recent Microsoft experience) with strong prior program management or technical project management experience
Prior experience with Customer Relationship Management [CRM] applications is desired
MBA is preferred
