Are you a strong Technology Specialist with expertise in telephony platforms and with a passion for delighting customers and partners? If so, then the Incubation Voice Sales Team is the right place for you!
As a Voice Technology Specialist (VTSP) you will evangelize the business value of the Microsoft Unified Communications and Collaboration products, partners and services and help drive architectural design wins of Office Communication Server OCS) and Microsoft Office Communicator (MOC). You will provide deep pre-sales technical support to enable customers and partners to develop and deploy UC Voice solutions based on the OCS platform. You will help drive sales with deep technical expertise, effective sales and presentation skills, and superior customer focus.
As a Voice Technology Specialist (Voice TSP), your primary responsibility will be to assist the Microsoft sales teams in winning competitive opportunities at the company’s most strategic accounts. In so doing, you will work directly with our largest enterprise customers' business and technical decision makers to convince them of the superior technical capabilities and business value of the Microsoft UC&C platform as well as our long-term vision and strategy. You will build strong customer relationships and secure the adoption of Microsoft technology. As a Voice/Telephony subject matter expert, you will play an important role in educating and positively impacting our worldwide field specialist community for Unified Communications. Another key responsibility is to provide regular, actionable product feedback and input to the product group so that they may improve our products and strategies in future releases.
Successful Voice TSP’s have great leadership skills, strong passion for driving business, great communication and consultative selling skills, exhibit outstanding collaboration skills, are sincerely customer focused, and deal well with ambiguity. They possess excellent presentation skills as well as in-depth technical and business value knowledge of Microsoft and competitive technologies. Candidates should possess an excellent understanding of the unified communications and collaboration marketplace along with the offerings of the key competitors. Candidates with demonstrated expertise in major Voice, Data & Video technologies are also encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of related experience. In addition the ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of many/most of these focus areas: Voice and Data Platforms (TDM PBX & IP-PBX, Video MCU) Voice and Data Networks (PSTN, Wireless, IP) , UC & C Applications (Voice Call Control, Audio/Video/ Web Conferencing, IM/Presence, CDR, E-911, Voice/Fax and Unified Messaging) Enterprise Interaction Management (EIM), Work Force Management, Sales Automation, Contact Centers (ACD, IVR, CRM), Application Integration Services ( TAPI, TSAPI, JTAPI, CSTA). Knowledge of SS7, GRR303, H.320, H.323 and SIP protocols. Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, switches, routers and firewalls. A Microsoft MCSE certification is highly desirable. Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline required.
This position will cover Microsoft’s New York Metro District, needs to be located in the NYM area, and will require approximately 30% - 40% travel.
