Do you enjoy developing strategies and plans that will lead our Sales Leadership community into the future? WW EPG Sales Excellence is looking for an individual to fill the WW Sales Leadership Lead as well as manage the EPG Partner Roles. This Discipline and Role owner enables success of the field Sales Leadership community across segments by improving overall productivity and consistency through deliverables endorsed by field and segment leadership. He/she will act as a trusted advocate for the field bridging field feedback and corporate strategy.
A Discipline/Role Owner’s primary responsibility is to work collaboratively with their segment and the field to understand the nature and needs of the discipline and role and to ensure that role excellence deliverables are implemented with the goal driving field productivity, customer satisfaction, competitive advantage, enhanced field experience and role clarity.
Role Owners provide role clarity by driving incentive compensation and performance management through WW commitment guidance. All activities and accountabilities are accomplished through a well-established role community and communication plan. Discipline Owners provide guidance by establishing career models and readiness curriculums.
Key Activities
The WW Sales Leadership Lead has the unique role of looking across all segments and business organizations that share the various Sales Leadership roles (EPG Lead, ATU/STU/PTU Managers, and all other field managers and leaders) to ensure decisions are made at the highest point of leverage, thus saving the company time and resources by eliminating duplicated efforts within the segments.
In FY11, The WW Sales Leadership Lead is required to complete the following activities:
1. Work with Worldwide Incentive Compensation (WWIC) to ensure consistent job title taxonomy and approvals and develop the Compensation Plans for all Sales Leadership and EPG Partner roles.
2. Completion of relevant compensation performance measurement and WW commitment guidance to drive role behavior in alignment with segment business strategy.
3. Participate in Discipline Leadership Council (DLC) meetings to discuss business matters, strategy and hear guidance from key Global Initiative Owners (GIOs) that will enable DO's to produce quality deliverables.
4. Organize team of leaders into a Discipline Leadership Team (DLT) to validate and give counsel on strategy, priority setting and discipline direction.
5. Work with the SMSGR Curriculum Manager to form field-based Readiness Advisory Panels to establish specific readiness requirements based on feedback from the field. For Sales Leaders, the discipline readiness planning will focus on developing a Coaching Curriculum.
6. Work with World Class Selling to develop and align discipline strategy to ensure WCS goals are met.
7. Plan and help deliver MGX Sessions to act as an enabler for the Sales Leadership and EPG Partner communities.
8. Work with the Business Planning and ROB team to ensure integration into key ROB events (MGX, Prism, WWSMM, etc)
9. Support Role Clarity with consistent job descriptions and role Profiles of Excellence.
10. Ensure field alignment to the organizational blueprint.
Key competencies include:
Held role as Sales Manager in a field-facing capacity
Knowledge of Role Excellence Practice Areas and Accountabilities
Working knowledge of the separate Sales, Services and Marketing functions
Demonstrated cross-group collaboration successes and community management
US stock level 65 or above (CSP IC 5 or 6)
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Upstream and downstream influence
Working knowledge of the SMSG ROB process
Demonstrated success in achieving commitments and timely delivery across projects
Held role in more than one segment
International Experience
Strong project management skills
Familiarity and or working knowledge of financial planning process (headcount, BWB, etc)
Familiarity and or working knowledge of the Area/Subsidiary scorecard model
Working knowledge of incentive compensation process, plans and how the programs land in the field
