Bus Dev Mgr - App. Platform (719060)

Description:
Microsoft is looking for highly motivated leader with a passion for business development and technology to drive Strategy and Business Development in Microsoft's Application Platform Partner Organization.
Microsoft’s Application Platform is a set of integrated technologies and tools including SQL Server, .Net. BizTalk and SharePoint that enable business to extend and unlock the value in their existing applications and to rapidly develop new applications that with significant gains in time to value, productivity, and total cost of ownership.
The Application Platform Business Development Manager will develop strategies and negotiated global agreements that enable major Systems Integrators (e.g., Accenture, Infosys) to develop more profitable businesses solutions and services that drive Microsoft’s Application platform into the market. This leader will play a key role in developing Microsoft’s strategy and go-to-market initiatives for competing against Oracle in the Enterprise
Key Accountabilities
The Application Platform BDM will be accountable for;
Identifying strategies to drive more Application Platform revenue with leading Systems Integration (SI) partners
Designing go-to market initiatives combine Microsoft and partner strengths
Structuring alliance deal that enable MS and SI alliance partners to increase Microsoft’s share versus major competitors like Oracle and IBM
Ensuring that these deals land successfully in the field and yield the expected results
Providing guidance to leadership on Application Platform and Partner strategy
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
A strong candidate will possess as many of the following skills and experiences as possible;
Experience structuring, negotiating, and landing go-to-market initiatives in the Enterprise Software Market
Strong understanding of Systems Integrator (SI) and Independent Software Vendor (ISV) business models. Previous experience working for an SI (e.g., Accenture, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini or EDS) or ISV (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tibco, Peoplesoft, IBM) highly valued
Understanding of enterprise database and middle-ware market and/ or technology
Exceptional problem solving and strategic thinking skills
Strong program management and communication skills
Proven ability to collaborate cross organizations and deal with ambiguity
Experience in strategy consulting and/ or business development a big plus.
