CS Industry Marketing Director - WW Government Partner GTM

Microsoft Communications Sector is scaling its focus in helping Partners be successful selling hosted, On-line and Cloud based services. Helping our Hosters and Telcos be successful in offering Microsoft Services is of strategic importance to us as we go “All In” with cloud services. There is a large opportunity to specifically support the Government segment with Partner Hosted Hoster and Telco offerings, since Government often has restrictions that cannot be met with BPOS. This role will partner with Public Sector to drive the strategy, development of GTM best practices and field training/enablement to assist our CS partners in driving Government sales of MS based offerings. This role will also work closely with the Product BG groups who own the core product value propositions and messaging as well as link successfully with other MS field organizations driving a coordinated Partner/Microsoft go to market approach. If you are passionate about channel development, this is a great opportunity to help lead Microsoft in enabling the next generation of Hosters and Telcos Partners to serve the Government opportunity.

The role would be accountable for:
Link with Public Sector to develop a coordinated CS Partner/MS Field GTM model
Developing Partner Go to Market best practices for use by our field and partner community
Work with BGs to take the core value propositions and make them channel relevant
Train and enable the CS field and in partnership the PS Field to support the GTM plans.
Develop field playbooks to document best practices for both MS Field and Partner
Manage GTM content for the community



Competencies & qualifications required:
This role requires excellence in understanding how to bring offering to the Government market and how to enable and support a partner channel. The role also requires cross group relationship management skills, drive for results, working under ambiguity, working independently, training and presentation skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving partner results through our field enablement and with programmatic GTM content. Specifically the role requires:
Be able to develop a business case to show the opportunity and how we would go after it
Strong communication skills
5 Years Experience in sales related to Government segment
5 Years of channel based selling experience
Understanding of how to develop partner GTM materials
Understanding of the Microsoft field roles supporting the Government segment
Proven skills in providing partners with training and readiness of sales and marketing materials
5 years experience with Hosting or Telco business
Experience in managing a vendor community to scale development of marketing content.
